I'm Now Selling My Friendly Monster Pattern on Etsy!!!!

Well, I have been wanting to get around to this for months now!  It seems like it took forever to get everything together.  I had to find the time to make an extra monster, schedule time for my brother to come over and take the pictures while I was making the monster, have him scan in my pattern and get it back to me in PDF format, and then compile all of it and write out all of the steps to the tutorial.  Now, after about three months, I finally have it all together!

So, if you have been itching to make a set of these for your little one or someone else's little one, you now have the chance!  These make fabulous Christmas gifts!

Alice the Party Pixie with her Party Snail, Swirls

Meet Alice the Party Pixie and her sweet snail friend Swirls.  They have to apologize for not appearing sooner on the blog as they were supposed to be here on the 8th of this month.  Oops!  Time somehow got away from us.  Anyways, here they are now.  Alice loves, loves, loves to party.  She's really into flags and poi and cannot get enough of designing groovy bracelets to accent her outfits.  Swirls actually claims to be a bigger partier than Alice.  It's hard to go by her loft any night of the week and not find a shindig taking place.  She loves theme parties.  Her last one had a vinyl record theme and to get in the guests had to bring their favorite album.  They all went home with vinyl record vases full of candy flowers that she made herself. 

Little Whimsy Prince Casper and His Lovely Esmina

Little Whimsy Prince Casper and his fair Esmina have been an item in the Whimsy Patch for some time now.  The two met when Esmina was called in to design Prince Casper's new cape and boots.  He was so smitten with her gentle smile and spirit that he immediately asked her to join him for tea.  Naturally, she was both awe struck and reluctant to get too excited, but she agreed.  Two days later, they met at The Steaming Kettle for high tea, and over pear tarts and shortbread cookies they fell in love.  Esmina giggles when she think back on it but is still amazed that a Prince chose her to be his mate.  They plan to marry soon but the date is a secret.  We'll have to wait and see!

Meet Two New Sets of Traveling Triplets

Many of you met the Blue Belles, a group of singing triplets, just a few weeks ago.  I was surprised to find out that groups of traveling, singing triplets are quite common in the Whimsy Patch.  I stumbled upon two new lovely trios this week, the Raspberry Tarts and Hot Cocoa, both singing groups but from very different musical backgrounds.  First let's meet the Raspberry Tarts:

 

These lovely ladies have a folksy sort of style and are known for traveling the coffee shop circuit in the Patch.  You can find them crooning in some cafe just about every night of the week. 

Hot Cocoa, on the other hand, has more of an indie sound with an ambient twist.  Think Kate Nash meets Portishead but times three.

 

They spend most of their time playing in Whimsy Patch indie music festivals and recording albums in between tours.  They also design their own line of clothing, Cinnamon Sprinkles, that can be found at Patch boutiques.

Jasmina the Whermaid--That's Whimsy Speak for Mermaid:)

 

Some might be surprised that Whermaids can be found in the Whimsy Patch Waters, but I'm no longer surprised when I come across them.  Ginger the Whermaid was the first to make herself known to me and, since then, I have met dozens of them.  Sookie lives in the Whimsy Waters just east of the Wildflower Valley, a land just covered in every variety of wildflower one can imagine--Baby's Breath, Poppies, Black-Eyed Susans, Snapdragons and Foxgloves to name a few.  An interesting phenomenon has taken place in the Whimsy Waters; wildflowers have begun to grow in patches in the sea.  Sookie lives in just one of these patches, crystal clear water just full of sparkling cherry red, saphire blue, and fiery orange poppies.  She spends most of her time here teaching younger Whermaids the art of making sand castles.  When she does come to shore, she frequents the Salt Water Taffy Shack and the Salty and Sweet Ice Cream Parlor where, if you run into her, you might find yourself chatting for hours!
